About Me

I didn't lose my way. I found it.

WHERE I COME FROM

I was born in Micoud, Saint Lucia — a small village on the southern tip of the island where everybody knew everybody and the streets raised you as much as your family did. Growing up there gave me something you cannot manufacture — roots. Community. A sense of who you are before the world tells you who to be.

I was the kid who was always described as "too much." Too loud. Too intense. Too everything. It took me years to understand that "too much" was never the problem. It was always the gift — just waiting for the right container.

THE CUBA CHAPTER

At eighteen I received an agricultural engineering scholarship to Cuba. The plan was to transfer into medicine. The reality was something else entirely.

I spent years in Havana and in the rural outskirts — absorbing Cuban culture, learning Spanish, living between city life and farming land. I studied. I grew locks. I became Rastafari and found a spiritual anchor that has never left me.

And then — months before graduation — I was expelled.

Marijuana. A decision. A consequence. Everything I had worked toward, gone in a moment.

What I know now that I did not know then: that expulsion was not the end of my story. It was the beginning of the real one. Cuba could not graduate me. But it built me. And what Cuba built — no institution can take away.

The breakdown was the breakthrough. Every time.

THE BRICKS

I came to America in 2004 with nothing but faith and the willingness to work. My uncle Holy opened his home to me for those first six months — a grace I have never forgotten. From there I found construction.

I spent over two decades as a union master mason and bricklayer in New York City — laying brick in some of the most demanding environments on earth, building structures that would outlast me with my bare hands.

What masonry teaches you is this: the foundation is everything. You do not rush it. You read the blueprint before you touch a single brick. You measure twice before you cut once. You build load-bearing before you build decorative.

I brought every one of those lessons into music. Into tech. Into everything I have built since.

THE MUSIC — JAHNOIR

Music was never separate from any of this. It was the thread running through all of it — from the village in Saint Lucia, through the mountains of Cuba, through the job sites of Brooklyn. It was always there.

JahNoir is not a stage name. It is the fullest expression of who I am — the light that comes out of darkness. Powerful. Uplifting. Spiritual. Music rooted in faith, in consciousness, in the real weight of a life actually lived.

I have been rejected. Told my sound was "not radio friendly." Played shows that did not go the way I planned. And I have refused — every single time — to compromise the consciousness in the music to fit someone else's idea of what it should be.

The music is the mortar between every brick of my life. It holds the whole thing together.

WHO I AM NOW

Today I am an independent recording artist, an AI app developer, a digital business consultant, and an author. I build apps from scratch — SoundPath Guide, Brooklyn Vibes, The Good Loop, Brand Buddy, and more — with no coding background and no outside investment. Just AI tools, discipline, and the same blueprint thinking I learned laying brick.

I wrote Funded or Forgotten: The Real Math of Independent Music in 2026 because independent artists deserve to know the truth about the industry they are building careers in.

I founded The Creator's Hive because I remember what it felt like to have the drive and the vision but no blueprint and no one who had walked the road before me to show the way.

Everything I build now is for the person I used to be.

WALK WITH ME

If you are here — in this app, in this world — then something resonated. Maybe it was the music. Maybe it was the story. Maybe it is simply the energy of someone who refused to let the hard parts be the last word.

Whatever brought you here — welcome.

This is not a highlight reel. This is the real journey. The music, the building, the faith, the failures, and the breakthroughs that came out of every single one of them.

I would love for you to walk this road with me.

Come inside.
