Privacy Policy

Information you provide: When you create an account we collect your name (display name), email address, and the referral code of the person who invited you, if one was used. We also keep the date you signed up and a record of how you arrived (for example, whether you joined through a lead magnet).

Content you submit: Posts, comments, media files (images, audio, video) you upload, and any messages you send us for support or as part of the member-submission review process.

Payment details: Payments for paid membership (Inner Circle) are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers; Stripe handles and tokenizes this information.

Automatically collected data: Device, browser, approximate location, pages visited, and similar usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform and your account.
• Send you announcements, newsletter issues, and account-related emails (such as verification and password-reset messages).
• Process membership subscriptions and manage access tiers.
• Administer the referral program, including generating your unique referral code and tracking successful referrals.
• Review, moderate, and publish content submitted by members.
• Respond to your requests, comments, and support inquiries.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.

We use Brevo, a third-party email service provider, to deliver our newsletter and announcement emails. When you sign up or subscribe, your email address and the name you provided may be transferred to Brevo for delivery and campaign management. We only email you when you have opted in (for the newsletter) or as necessary to operate your account.

You can unsubscribe from marketing and newsletter emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by contacting us at jahnoirbrooklynvibes@gmail.com. Account-related emails (verification, security) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

Paid Inner Circle memberships are billed through Stripe. By making a purchase you authorize us to charge your designated payment method through Stripe for recurring subscription fees until you cancel. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your card data, available at stripe.com/privacy.

When you verify your account we generate a personal referral code (for example, JN-XXXX). This code is associated with your account so we can credit successful referrals to you. When someone signs up using your code, we record that referral relationship. Referral activity is used solely to administer rewards and is not sold to third parties.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, and understand how the Platform is used. Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may limit some features of the Platform.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with the following categories of service providers who help us operate the Platform:

• Brevo — email delivery and newsletter management.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Cloud hosting providers — hosting and database infrastructure.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale or transfer of our business. Anonymous or aggregated data that cannot identify you may be shared for analytics purposes.

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with row-level access controls, so members can only access their own account information. Sensitive files (uploaded media) are stored in an access-controlled storage bucket scoped to your account. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Uploaded media may be retained until you delete it or your account is closed. When you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California have additional rights under the GDPR and the CCPA respectively. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

The Platform requires users to be 18 years of age or older at the time of sign-up. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

The Platform contains links to third-party sites (Patreon, Bandcamp, Eventbrite, Spotify, and others). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email where appropriate.
